Roxana Dobre, M.A., is an experienced analyst and research consultant specializing in transnational and international crimes with a geographic focus on the U.S. and East and Southeast Asia. A graduate of John Jay College and a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Roxana combines academic rigor with practical expertise in justice-related research. She has contributed to high-impact projects involving darknet drug trafficking, human rights violations, and genocide studies. In her concurrent role, Roxana provides expert refugee asylum policy analysis for clients based in Great Britain.

 

Lea Sterli, M.A., specializes in international and transnational crime with a geographic focus on their convergence in Europe and the Western Balkans. Lea’s professional experiences at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, the Social and Labor Convergence Program, and Switzerland’s Parterre-Tangram have enriched her understanding of a variety of international justice topics. At Nexxus Consulting, Lea utilizes her research skills to address complex global problems with special attention to human rights issues.

 

Amelia Chumney, M.A., is an analyst and research consultant specializing in transnational organized crime. A member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society with a background in forensic psychology, Amelia has experience with qualitative and quantitative data analysis as well as human subjects research. Her academic career has emphasized principles of global citizenship and systems thinking, which she applies in her role as analyst to promote rigorous research highlighting and addressing human rights issues across borders.

 

Leslie Weiler, M.A., graduated from John Jay College with academic distinction and extensive experience researching international justice issues, including terrorism, migrant smuggling, and organized crime. Through her studies, Leslie has developed skills in policy writing, data analysis, and comparative strategy analysis. Her global perspective is enhanced by her fellowship through the United Nations and certification from the Washington International Diplomatic Academy. In addition to robust quantitative research skills, Leslie also contributes a background in psychology, fluency in German, and proficiency in French.

 

Lucius Tuck, M.A., is a graduate of John Jay College whose academic research has focused on geopolitics, extremism and terrorism, and transnational and international crime. Lucius earned the 2019 Bennett Prize for Outstanding Work in Political Science from the City College of New York and presented his research to the 2024 Critical Perspectives on Human Rights conference. In his role as senior research analyst at Nexxus Consulting, Lucius applies his expertise to the analysis of global security concerns.

 

Mia Axelsen, B.S., graduated summa cum laude from Mercy University with membership in the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Mia is currently earning her Master of Arts in International Crime and Justice from John Jay College. She specializes in transnational and international organized crime on the American continents. In 2024, Mia joined the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for a summer course where she learned from industry experts and contributed a publication to the UNODC Sherloc database.

 

Daniela Torres, M.A., recently graduated from John Jay College with a fellowship in the Global Diplomacy Programme by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. Daniela’s background in research and data analysis includes experience studying women’s rights, global security, crisis prevention, cybercrime, and transnational crime prevention through international cooperation. In addition to her strong quantitative research skills, Daniela contributes her international perspective and fluency in Spanish.



 

MoSiao Fang, M.A., is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice with over a decade of experience in maritime security, investigative analysis, and transnational crime prevention. In professional capacities with the United Nations, the New York City Department of Investigation, and Taiwan’s Coast Guard Administration,

 

 

Aurora Stroem Ruud, B.S., is earning her Master of Arts in Human Rights at Columbia University with academic focus on border fortification, refugeehood, and climate displacement. Her research experience includes work on predictive AI technologies and its implications for global governance, as well as the development of policy reports at the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research. She previously served as an intern with Fundación A-Kasa in Medellín, Colombia, where she developed human rights projects and wrote grants to secure international funding.

 

Emma Johansson, M.A., is an analyst and research consultant specializing in transnational organized crime. She contributes a unique educational background with studies in political science and internationalization, communication, and statistical research. Emma’s professional experiences include attending the Student Conference on U.S. Affairs, hosted by the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, completing summer session studies with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and carrying out risk assessment services in her concurrent role. 

 

Camila Alejandra Madera Dutan, M.A., graduated from John Jay College and has channeled her passion for immigrants’ rights into her concurrent role as a paralegal. Camila focuses on combating family separation by leveraging her expertise to help refugee and asylum clients navigate the complexities of immigration law. Her extensive experience includes assisting juveniles, victims of crime, and foreign nationals to secure suitable legal pathways, broadening her capacity to serve clients from diverse backgrounds. Camila continues to advocate for immigrants’ rights to increase justice and stability for marginalized communities.

 

Shania McCombs, B.A., is a dedicated student at John Jay College, where she is pursuing her dream of becoming an international lawyer. As a freelance photographer and talented writer, Shania hopes to illuminate injustices challenging marginalized communities. She is keenly interested in journalism and research with attention to global issues. In her career, Shania plans to raise awareness for and drive change in addressing the atrocities of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
