Lucius Tuck, M.A., is a graduate of John Jay College whose academic research has focused on geopolitics, extremism and terrorism, and transnational and international crime. Lucius earned the 2019 Bennett Prize for Outstanding Work in Political Science from the City College of New York and presented his research to the 2024 Critical Perspectives on Human Rights conference. In his role as senior research analyst at Nexxus Consulting, Lucius applies his expertise to the analysis of global security concerns.

Lucius Tuck is a Senior Research Analyst at Nexxus Consulting. After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from The Colin Powell School of Civic and Global Leadership at the City College of New York where he pursued a major in Political Science and a minor in Community Change Studies, Lucius received a Master’s degree in International Crime and Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Lucius’s academic research has focused predominantly on terrorism, extremism, international relations, geopolitics, as well as transnational and international crime. Lucius has received accolades for his work across political science and international criminal justice, receiving the 2019 Bennett Prize for Outstanding Work in Political Science from the City College of New York, and recently presenting his research to the 2024 Critical Perspectives on Human Rights Conference in New York.

Prior to his current career and academic accomplishments, Lucius has had a diverse and eclectic professional history. From his work in the arts ranging from acting in New York to audio/visual tech and stage management in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to his more than a decade as a professional fine-dining chef in numerous New York City restaurants, Lucius has a wide breadth of experiences to draw from. His distinctive and industry-spanning career path allows Lucius to engage with his work at Nexxus Consulting from a unique perspective, which provides his analysis of security, criminal justice, and human rights with insight from a confluence of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

In his current role, Lucius applies his diverse knowledge of cultural flashpoints, extremist ideologies, political incentive structures, criminal enterprises, human rights, community organizing, and international cooperation to his research of current events and threat assessment. Lucius’s analysis of global security concerns is informed by his diligent scrutiny of current US and international politics.
